How it works
A nude AI generator uses a deep learning model (typically a GAN or diffusion model) to predict the body shape under clothing. The model is trained on millions of clothed/nude image pairs. At inference, it takes a clothed photo and generates the corresponding nude image.
What we test
We test 6 AI undress tools. Each is evaluated on 5 weighted criteria: privacy (30%), quality (25%), pricing (20%), speed (15%), support (10%). Weights are fixed and do not vary between tools.
Output quality
Quality is scored on 4 sub-criteria: anatomical fidelity, texture consistency, absence of artefacts, and adherence to the source photo's pose. Results are compared on a fixed reference image set.
Speed and queues
Speed is scored on generation time (from upload to download) and the presence of queues. A tool that takes 30 seconds to generate an image is scored higher than one that takes 3 minutes.
Pricing and free tier
Prices are those published by the provider. A free tier is scored positively, but its limits (resolution, number of generations) are taken into account. A provider that does not publish prices is scored 'absent'.
Privacy
This is the heaviest criterion (30%). We verify: image retention period, sharing with third parties, use for model training, deletion policy. An absence of mention on a point is scored 'absent' and penalises the score.
Responsible use
- Use only your own photos or those of adults who have given explicit written consent.
- AI-generated images must be labelled as synthetic and never presented as real (EU AI Act, Art. 50).
- Tools that process images of celebrities are not in the catalogue, regardless of output quality.
- If published without consent, the Penal Code (art. 226-1, 226-4) applies. Contact the CNIL or file a complaint.
- Delete local images after download. Tool servers may retain them longer than their policy suggests.
